Tiran has expanded from its primary operations as a logistics and shipping company adding a second focus on aquaculture.  The company had a significant trade in shipping seafood products and noted the rapid shift from wild caught to farmed seafood.  We also recognized the technological edge enjoyed by the Israeli aquaculture industry and academic research community.  With some early but significant investment in research and development, Tiran has patents or license to technologies and breeding lines that are of global interest.  In some cases Tiran has filled the gap between the novel technologies and the eventual transport of processed seafood in international trade through its own aquaculture farms and subsidiaries and in other cases, they have partnered with other entities in the value chain.
